Alpha Youth Volunteer Corps engages youth (age 11-18) in meaningful volunteer opportunities that positively impact communities. Established in 2023, AYVC is the first and current YVC affiliate in Africa and is one of more than 40 affiliates internationally.

Empowerment of youth at Central Primary and Nursery School Katwe
Access to toilets remain a big challenge in katwe, a slum in kampala possing a big health challenge in the community Being a slum, Katwe has few toilets and many residents, leading to poor sanitation and unhygienic practices like open defecation. As an area of interest by Youth Volunteer Corps Kampala, a project to renovate a toilet to be used in a community has been embarked on creating awareness about the existence on this big problem, show the need for joint efforts in addressing this challenge
The Skilling the Youth in Uganda Project is an initiative aimed at empowering young Ugandans with practical skills and vocational training to enhance their employability and entrepreneurship opportunities. By focusing on sectors like agriculture, ICT, and crafts, the project equips youth with the tools they need to thrive in a competitive job market. Ultimately, the project seeks to reduce youth unemployment, curb poverty, and drive innovation, ensuring a brighter future for Uganda’s next generation..
